Tandoori Elish


  1. Hilsha Fish uncut and whole 1
  2. Sweet curd 4 Table Spoon
  3. Sour Curd 4 Table Spoon
  4. Red Chili Flakes 1 table Spoon or as much as you wish
  5. Salt as required
  6. Tandoori Masala 1 teaspoon
  7. Dhania Powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Ginger Paste one fourth teaspoon
  9. Mustard Oil 4 table Spoon
  10. Lemon Juice 1 table spoon
  11. Butter 2 Table spoon

1.remove the scales of the fish and also its intestines.
clean the head too.wash it well.
2.make slits on the both side of the fish.
3.mix all the ingredients except the butter and lemon juice.
4.add the masala mixture to the fish and marinate it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.turn the fish one or two more times.
5.add two cups of water to the fish and set on low flame.let it be cooked.make slits on a handful of green chilies and add to the gravy.
6.when the water dries up remove it from the heat and set it on the baking tray.
7.brush the fish with the butter and lemon mixture and bake it for 20 mins in 250 degree centigrade.
8.can add sliced cucumbers,tomatoes and onions while baking and have them with the fish.
9.you can also serve french fries with it.

have it with Pulao,Rice or paratha.
